Does Your God make you feel Loved and Free?
Have you ever thought about the God you pray to and wondered what His personal attitude is towards you?
Does the God you believe in cover you with His words of affection.
Is it something that you haven’t really searched out and just expected that the Father should be doing better with what is going on in your life. If you are looking for the answers to many of the questions you want answered. Then maybe it’s time to open the book called the Old and New Testament Bible and start reading about the Trinity whom you have heard about and who is supposed to be so good and help you.
Matthew 5 The Sermon on the Mount: The Beatitudes
Have you ever thought about the God you pray to and wondered what His personal attitude is towards you?

Is it something that you haven’t really searched out and just expected that the Father should be doing better with what is going on in your life. Then maybe it’s time to open the book called the Old and New Testament Bible and start reading about the Trinity whom you have heard about and who is supposed to be so good and help you.
If you want some answers then it’s time. Time to look into the books together and to find the truth of the way your Lord feels about you.
If you open your bible to the new testament writings of Matthew. There was a day when Jesus sat at what is called the Mount of Olives. There were ancient olive trees all around Him as He sat there with the multitude from all different creeds and faith who were eager to hear what He had to say. All had heard of His teachings in the Jewish synagogues and of the miracles that were taking place as He journeyed from place to place with His disciples, and the many women and men who supported Him along the way.
His love for each and every person as an individual was attracting attention. His compassion and desire to help them to be better people and do better was gaining momentum and His popularity was growing so much that the Romans and Jewish leaders of the day were perplexed at His strength and courage to spread His Father’s words (the Jewish writings of past and present prophets who declared the Father’s way, what was to come, the Father’s love for His creation, and his desire to have them be reconciled back to Himself through His son Jesus Christ.)
If you want the full picture of what actually happened then reading the Book of John is a great place to start. It gives you a greater understanding of Jesus himself and what He actually did whilst He was here.
If we look at the book of Matthew and in particular the passages in Matthew 4.
Its starts with Jesus being guided by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness. He was without food and satan tried to tempt him several times unsuccessfully. After the unsuccessful attempt, the Father sent His angels to minister to his son.
Following this event, Jesus travelled and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, in the country of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali by the sea beyond the Jordan, to Galilee of the Gentiles (of the people who are not of Israel). So as to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah (in the old testament writings of Isaiah 9:1-2). The words of Isaiah coming directly from the Lord would then be brought to pass: The people sitting and listening had until this day been dwelling in darkness and upon hearing Jesus words their eyes and ears were open to the Father in Heaven and what was expected of them from now on. In short they had received the Light directly from the mouth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
From this time forward Jesus began to reach out crying “Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
As He was walking by the Sea of Galilee. He encountered two brothers and asked them to leave their families and nets and come be fishers of men. They left their nets and become His disciples. Further along the road the same things happened and two more left their boats and their parents to join Jesus. He travelled around Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and preaching the good news. The good news was the Gospel of the kingdom, and as He went along He healed many of all their bodily weaknesses, their spiritual imperfections and their diseases.
The reports of Jesus’ actions. His love and compassion for everyone spread throughout all of Syria as they bought Him those who were afflicted with various torments. There were many who were under the power of demons and/or epileptic and He healed them all. Great crowds of people started following Him from Galilee and Decapolis (considered the district of the ten cities) east of the sea and Jerusalem and Judea and from the other eastern side of the Jordan.
In Matthew 5 we see the people beginning to gather in multitude upon the mountain side.
The words spoken are called ‘The Beatitudes’. They are exceedingly beautiful and show the Love of our Father in Heaven. They explain what is required of us as a people belonging to a Heavenly realm. They are spiritually encompassing, healing, transcend time and bring a grace and favour from a God, as a creator whom loves His creation even when they sin. Loving us to a point where His very obedient Son Jesus offers Himself up as a ransom for our transgressions.
These are the words that were spoken that day on the Mount, They are also referred to as the ‘Sermon on the Mount.’
5. In seeing the crowds He went up to the mountain and when He was seated all the disciples gathered to Him.
5:2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them saying:
5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven!
5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!
5:5 Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth!
5:6 Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be completely satisfied!
5:7 Blessed are the merciful for they obtain mercy.
5:8 Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God!
5:9 Blessed are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!
5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven!
5:11 Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely on My account.
5:12 Be glad and supremely joyful because your reward in heaven is great, for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you.
So looking a bit closer we can see all the things we are blessed with from our beautiful loving Father in Heaven who was and is and is to come. He does not ask us to do anything that would harm us or return harm to us. He does not tell us to kill our enemy. He tells us to accept all situations with his grace. That same grace that He gives us to bear our troubles with dignity and love.
His words that resonate are these: Blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, the righteous, the merciful, the pure of heart, the makers and the maintainers of peace, those who are persecuted for being righteous and those who revile you on Jesus account. Your rewards could also mean that yours is the kingdom of Heaven, you shall be comforted, you shall inherit the earth, be completely satisfied, you shall obtain mercy, see God, be called a Son of God and receive a great reward in heaven.
He asks that we ‘do not scoff at those who profess the word of the Lord because the wrath of the Lord will give you no remedy or healing’ (Chronicles 36:16). If you happily and joyfully be glad despite your circumstances and you yourself, enlighten the people towards the Lord and His beautiful gifts. Your reward will be greater in Heaven.
Getting to know the Lord is very enlightening. The more you read your Bible the more you will start to feel the love that transcends our understanding. Jesus said many things about how to love someone in a Godly manner. Three of the most popular things he mentioned were to love God with all your heart, to love your neighbour, and to love your enemy.
I pray that all that is written here today. Will help you to feel loved and has made you free by helping you to understand what love really is. Its an understanding that just loving yourself is not enough. You must love others as well if you expect that love to be returned to you. It is freeing and encouraging to be that way and creates a ripple effect of nice people around you who care. It can extend beyond just your own realm and cause countries to be eager to live happily together on this planet called Earth.
Have a blessed week. Thank you for reading this blog.
