WICK INFORMATION: wicks are a flat braid, textile grade cotton wick. They are coated in a high melt wick wax for added stability. They have been manufactured to 'self trim'. The design allows the tip to bend into the hottest part of the flame, contributing to a cleaner burning candle.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNING: THIS SHEET WILL ALSO BE FOUND IN YOUR PACKAGING FOR REFERENCE BEFORE LIGHTING YOUR CANDLE
Please be safety conscience and NEVER place or light your Candle near an open window with a curtain. The breeze may cause both the flame from the candle and the curtain to collide causing a fire.
Allowing your new candle burn for the proper amount of time during the first burn will help you prevent tunnelling and help you get the best use out of your beautiful candles.
When burning a candle for the first time, your main goal should be to reach a full melt pool. In other words, you need to let the candle burn long enough that the top surface of wax melted from edge to edge of the container.
Let it burn for 2 hours to reach a full melt pool.
Don't let it burn for more than 2.5 hours without extinguishing the flame and trimming the wick.
As your candle burns, carbon residue builds up on the wick and causes it to take on an unsightly mushroom shape. This in turn can cause the flame to get too hot, and produce smoke.
